Lion King Nursery

I have been dreaming about this nursery for a long time! For baby number two, we went with a Lion King nursery theme. I wanted the nursery to be gender neutral so we can feel comfortable about leaving the gender of this baby a surprise.  The Lion King was one of my favorite movies growing up so it makes me feel happy to see it in baby’s room. I didn’t want the theme to feel overwhelming so I also incorporated some gold arrows and “you are my sunshine” decor. The bedroom is very small so I wanted to keep the colors simple and bright. When I was pregnant with Wyatt, we couldn’t afford to buy a nice rocking chair so I had an old wooden rocker that I had to rock him in and it was the most uncomfortable chair ever! This time around, Casey took me to Babies R Us and told me to pick out my favorite chair and so far I am happy with our purchase. I love just sitting in this room and relaxing!

I am still using the crib that I had as a baby but I am happy with how the nursery turned out. I had my heart set on this Simba poster for a long time so I ordered it as soon as I found out I was pregnant. “Remember Who You Are” is one of my favorite quotes! I have a new obsession with gold arrows so this sheet and this changing pad cover fit in nicely. I always had an issue with my arm&hammer diaper pail with Wyatt so I’m hoping this Dekor diaper pail will work better. I also couldn’t pass up this Simba clothes hamper. The cuteness! Wyatt had actually been asking for a tent to play in so I decided to order this teepee which ended up matching the theme pretty well!

We are ready for you baby!
